The management teams of Lionel Racing and Lionel Trains recently took the ALS Ice Bucket challenge for a cause that’s personal.

Each of us took some time out of a busy afternoon to stage this group challenge and will also make individual donations to the ALS Association in honor of Tom Rodhe, the brother of one of our company’s engineers and an ALS sufferer who passed away earlier this year.

In addition to Lionel’s mascot Lenny the Lion, the folks who did the “dumping” honors were the employees of the managers who got iced. Nothing like a little payback for a good cause!

To keep the donations coming, Lionel President Howard Hitchcock challenged the team at NASCAR Licensing, Joe Mattes at JR Motorsports, and the leadership of the Lionel Collectors Club of America to film their own challenge.

Game on!
