Editor’s Note: Each week, Lionel Racing staffer Alex Gage reveals her choice to win each NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race in her “Pick of the Week” column.

Last week’s race in Bristol was full of wrecks and rain and finally after a full day, Matt Kenseth was crowned the winner.

This column is posted a little late this week, but after a rainy Saturday that delayed the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, the circuit is still in Richmond. And my pick to take the checkers is a former winner at this track. In fact, 10 years ago he achieved his first win there. I’m talking about none other than Hendrick Motorsports’ Kasey Kahne.

At Richmond, Kasey has had his ups and downs, but 2015 has been a stellar year so far for Kahne. This weekend also marks the 10-year anniversary since his first Sprint Cup win.

Tune into FOX at 1 PM EST Sunday for the Toyota Owners 400 and see if we can hold off the impending rain and have some fun short track racing.

We’ll catch up with you next weekend when we will be at the famed Superspeedway in Talladega!
