We’re excited to announce 2014 Rookie of the Year die-cast honoring two of NASCAR’s hottest young stars.
Yesterday at the Myers Brothers luncheon in Las Vegas, Kyle Larson received the Sunoco Rookie of the Year Award for his outstanding performance in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
In his first year of full-time competition at the sport’s highest level, Larson notched a pole position, 17 top tens, and eight top-five finishes. He also come close a time or two to putting his No. 42 Target Chevy and Chip Ganassi Racing in Victory Lane.
Chase Elliott received his Sunoco Rookie of the Award in November for his incredible first year in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Elliott made NASCAR history by becoming the youngest driver to win a national series title and walked away with three wins, two pole positions, and the series championship.
To honor these exciting NASCAR young guns, we’re introducing a never-before offered special finish – Galaxy Color, which adds a truly special touch to these milestone cars.
The No. 42 Larson Target Rookie of the Year Chevrolet SS is being offered in a light-catching Galaxy Red and the No. 9 NAPA Rookie of the Year Chevrolet Camaro of Elliott is being offered in a luminous Galaxy Blue.
Whether produced in red, blue or any color of the rainbow, Galaxy Color is a special, painted finish that makes the die-cast look like it has been shot through with tiny pinpricks of light. The result is a metallic, reflective look that is truly unique and eye-catching.
Both cars are also deco’d with authentic rookie stripes on the rear panels and the Official Sunoco Rookie of the Year logo on the roof.
